GLEE returns Tuesday, September 20 at 8PM
It's been a bad summer for the producers of Glee. First, Ryan Murphy confirmed that the seniors would leave the show following the third season. Afterwards, Brad Falchuk denied the reports and blamed the reporter, even though Murphy gave the interview. Soon, the media turned against Ryan Murphy. It seems the show lost the cajones to write off their seniors because of fan reaction. Anyway, the third season will be busy. The Glee Project winners have a seven episode arc. Another actor has a two episode arc. Rachel's mother will return for her own arc. Some series regulars will probably be ignored for large chunks of the season. It's senior year, which means a prom episode and a graduation episode. I don't know what songs the cast will sing this season. If Ryan Murphy's smart, the glee club will sing Vitamin C's graduation song. Murphy added six more staff writers, including Marti Noxon and Allison Adler.
RAISING HOPE returns Tuesday, September 20 at 9:30PM
FOX renewed Greg Garcia's sitcom in January. The early renewal looked good. Unfortunately, the show struggled creatively and in the ratings. Fans weren't as gung-ho about the quirky series. Nonetheless, the show's back for a second season. My brief research into the second season yielded no results. TV Guide doesn't know what's planned for the second season. FOX released a promo picture of the family riding a bicycle. One of the promo clips shows Hope as a toddler. Greg Garcia's a good storyteller, so the show should rebound nicely.
FRINGE returns Friday, September 23 at 9PM
"Where is Peter Bishop?" is the question that promos, fans and critics are asking. In the season finale, Peter's been wiped from existence. Listen...I don't watch Fringe. I should've jumped into the third season last fall. I didn't. Too much has happened for someone unfamiliar with the show to summarize. Luckily, the producers won't say much about the new season, which means I'm off the hook. I've heard people declare Fringe the best show on TV. The show's among the most imaginative and daring on network TV. I'll say this: no one names an episode quite like the Fringe crew.
THE SIMPSONS return Sunday, September 25 at 8PM
The 500th episode looms in the 23rd season of the show. Presumably, the world will learn about the fate of Ned Flanders and Edna Crabapple as well. The family will travel to Antarctica. Jonah Hill, Jeremy Irons, Jane Lynch, Michael Cera and a bunch of other actors lended their voices for upcoming episodes. Krusty's going to launch a premium cable show, which should be amazing. The animated series rebounded recently after some terrible seasons. Season 23 seems promising on paper.
THE CLEVELAND SHOW returns Sunday, September 25 at 8:30PM
I found nothing about the fourth season of the show. I apologize to fans of The Cleveland Show.
FAMILY GUY returns Sunday, September 25 at 9PM
In the 10th season premiere, The Griffins win the lottery. One only imagines what they'll do with their newfound fortune. Actually, I wonder how they'll lose the money so that things return to normal for the second episode.
AMERICAN DAD returns Sunday, September 25 at 9:30PM
According to my source, wikipedia, Roger travels to the Middle East to support the troops. Stan ages backwards. Hayley adopts a baby who is evil incarnate. I don't like what I read. I imagine terribly parodies of Benjamin Button and any horror movie involving a child.
HOUSE returns Monday, October 3 at 8PM
House drove his car through Cuddy's house in the season finale. Apparently, the Huddy relationship wasn't destined for happiness. House begins the 8th season in prison as punishment for driving his car through his ex-girlfriend's house. 12 months have passed. House falls in love with a beautiful doctor whilst in prison. There'll be no scenes between House and Cuddy because the actress left the show. FOX almost cancelled the show until an agreement was made. The budget's been slashed. The cast is smaller. The stories will be more bare-bones. I heard House travels around the country solving medical mysteries. The medical procedural's on its way out.
BONES returns Thursday, November 3 at 9PM
Not only did Bones and Booth kiss, they also slept together. Now, she's with child and they're living together. Did Bones jump the shark? I ask any Bones fan to comment with their opinion on whether or not Hart Hanson jumped the shark. There'll be a new villain and some quality time spent with the Brennan and Booth families. Emily Deschanel's pregnancy shifted the broadcast plans a bit. Bones is back with six episodes in the fall. Sometime in 2012, the show will return with an uninterrupted run of episodes.
